News Release
Tim Kinder of Inventure has been named to the Indiana Statewide Certified Development Corporation's Southern Loan Committee.
Invenventure is located in downtown Bloomington. It is a certified technology park housing more than 25 technical and life sciences companies in various stages of development.
The Indiana Statewide CDC works with local lenders to provide loans from the U.S. Small Business Administration 504 loan program.
Jean Wojtowicz, executive director of the Indiana Statewide CDC, says, "The SBA 504 loan program was created by Congress for growing companies that need financing that is more favorable to them than conventional business loans."
"We are able to provide borrowers with a low, fixed interest rate and they may pay a down payment of only 10 percent. These terms help them purchase fixed assets such as land, a building and equipment."
The Indiana Statewide CDC is Indiana's largest SBA 504 lender. It has directly funded over $315 million to more than 870 companies in 25 years.
Kinder represents the Indiana Economic Development Corporation on the Southern Loan Committee. Members of the committee review electronic loan applications that have been analyzed by the Statewide CDC’s staff. Committee members vote on acceptance or denial of the loan within 48 hours, providing superior turnaround service to borrowers.
