Rock & Rollers Roller Rink and Family Entertainment Center will have its Grand Opening Saturday, January 20th.  Featuring a state-of-the-art sound and lighting system, Rock & Rollers will also have a floor-to-ceiling video screen, as well as a complete arcade area and prize redemption center.

The fun begins when skaters arrive.  “It is dazzling when you walk in the door,” owner Barbara Rouse says.  “We have used a ton of bright colors.”

The eye-catching skate floor is the central attraction.  Rock & Rollers’ skate floor is constructed of space-age, durable plastic material in bright colors: blue with red and yellow triangles and a confetti pattern around the edge.

Avon residents Barbara and Keith Rouse own and operate Rock & Rollers.  The Rouses are pleased to offer the residents of Hendricks County a safe, clean, healthy activity for the youth and families. The newly constructed building is 21,600 square feet and is located at 241 Casco Drive.

Indiana Business Bank in Indianapolis and Indiana Statewide Certified Development Corporation provided financing for Rock & Rollers from the U.S. Small Business Administration 504 loan program.

Indiana Statewide CDC works with local lenders to provide SBA 504 loans for expanding companies.  Congress created the SBA 504 program in 1983 to help small businesses gain favorable financing terms and retain operating cash while expanding.

“The SBA guarantees bonds that are sold to finance a portion of the loan allow us to offer a low, fixed interest rate for as long as 20 years,” says Jean Wojtowicz, executive director of the Indiana Statewide CDC.

“The guarantee also allows borrowers to pay as little as ten percent down.  The interest rate and down payment stipulations are better than those provided by conventional loans,” adds Wojtowicz.

Jim Young, president and CEO of Indiana Business Bank says: “Helping new businesses grow is one of the reasons we started Indiana Business Bank.  The SBA 504 program and the Indiana Statewide CDC is one of the tools we use to become involved with more businesses.”

“We appreciate the financing,” says Barbara.  “Indiana Business Bank and the CDC worked very hard to help us through the process.

“I am pleased with the results,” she adds.

Parents can watch their little ones skate through a large glass window in the Parent Lounge while watching TV or utilizing the wireless internet connection.  Rock & Rollers will specialize in hand-made pizzas, cookies, and many other treats.

Rock & Rollers will have age-appropriate music/videos and security on hand during the weekend evening sessions.  Besides public open skating, Rock & Rollers will offer birthday parties, fund raisers, and private parties.  A vast array of the latest video and arcade games will give skaters plenty to do during their visit.  Redemption tickets from the games can be used to buy prizes from the huge prize gallery.

Indiana Statewide CDC has helped create or save more than 23,000 jobs with SBA 504 financing.
